It is fun and interesting to work with children at milestones shoots, seeing how much they have grown and changed. I photographed Otto at newborn and then age two…his newborn session is among my favorite shoots. It was so enjoyable meeting with Otto and his family once again and looking forward to seeing this fam again soon to welcome new baby!
I first met Sarah when I took her Senior photos and remember then, discussing in the future how fun it would be to do her wedding and engagement photos as well. Well here we are! I could not be happier to be working with Sarah again and in addition this time…Levi! This session boasted abundant vibrant color (partial thanks to Sarah’s gorgeous head of hair) and we paid special attention to Levi’s profession as a lineman, as he follows the path of Draper men before and among him…so cool! Anyway, planning is in the works for these two…2016 will be here before they know it! Looking forward to making this journey alongside them!
Pretty in pink, Miss Mirielle had her 6 Month session at home. In home sessions can be staged or shot “lifestyle” OR a combination of both, capturing my clients doing what they do from day to day is something I want to do more and more of. I LOVE the images that result. One of my favorite in the bunch from this session is the image in this post of Mirielle lying on her back looking to the side at the camera…this was a shot that was taken while waiting to shoot one we had “planned”. Goes to show- the off shots are not so much “off” ;)
Look at this handsome little dude! No shortage of smiles and beautiful vibrant eyes for their family session this past Spring- YES I am behind on blogging I will eventually catch up…editing and to the client first, blogging later….
Dear little Maddox slept so well for us during his shoot. Curled up and settled sweetly, we even got some slight newborn grins! Remember expecting moms, be sure to schedule your newborn session to be held within the first 7-10 days of life while they are still sleepy, curly, and pliable. Sweet sweet babies!
Cake Smash sessions can be held ANYWHERE! This specific Cake Smash followed a family photo shoot. She wasn’t all too fond of the sugary cake (NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT!) but I sure did capture some funny little faces. Fun family, bright vivid color, cake smash adorable!
West Bottoms shoots are becoming a weekly thing for me- it is a given that when clients ask me for color and architecture, I choose to shoot here. Everywhere you turn there is an old worn paint brick wall, an elaborate beautiful store entry, all remnants of what once was a thriving district. Happy to say that it is once again, very much alive with antique shops, artisans, we all know in the Fall haunted houses, and the list goes on and on. What a great place to shoot, visit, shop! While natural settings are a common place for family shoots- if your heart is set on vibrant color, don’t rule this out!
